Typical Application Requirements from Our End Users

A typical application requires an analog front-end to detect low level complex signals in a noisy background.  This instrument will usually employ embedded processing and custom algorithms based on DSP techniques for the collection and pre-qualification of the raw data.  The resulting information is presented to a workstation via a high speed link, typically Ethernet. Only the data of interest is shown to the user – the background noise and much of the “non-relevant” data can often be filtered out by the embedded electronics and pre-processing.

For some clients with high volume production requirements, we have delivered arrays of parallel test stations mounted in rugged, compact test stands

Working with Design & Test Technology provides a number of benefits

At Design & Test Technology, we are focused on our customer's unique requirements.  The end instrument will be designed to be the correct fit for the specified needs without needless complexity. We first determine what is being measured, what the data looks like, and what result is desired. We are not limited to a single suite of tools. Only then do we choose the technology and algorithms required to design and build the equipment, fixtures and user interface while, of course, staying within budget.

  • Complex projects can be initiated and completed without adding to the work load of your permanent staff.
  • Project costs can be more easily contained and controlled.
  • Expertise is available in a number of disciplines, including electronics, electro-mechanical design, precision electro-mechanical mechanisms, and control and interface software.  The final design is driven by the end user’s requirements, not by pre-existing solutions.
